Getting to know

Yesterday we had our first group discussion on our FORMDEV class. A subject taken by frosh students to further understand the Lasallian values and make positive and practical impact during their stay in the university.

I'm glad to see new faces and thank God I am with Tiano for this whole term. He saved me yesterday talking about some CS stuff that obviously I don't know. So here are some points to remember to start conversation to your small group when everyone seems like a stranger to each other.

1. Make sure to use the right tone of voice to get their attention.
2. Don't forget to introduce your name.
3. Discuss the reason why are you doing this.
4. Ask questions that are relevant to them.
5. Take time to listen and give some follow-up questions
6. Add some humor to your discussion.

These are only some of the many things you can do. But for me, I found it effective and it really works. So get going and have some talk. Don't forget to stay humble and grounded because God entrusted them to you and you should do your best to share you life to them.

Animo Group 2 S12 FORMDEV!

Looking forward to see Jerome, Monpee, Lance, Bryan, Jeehan and Grace next week!!!!

Noynoy Aquino

Kayo and boss ko.

That was the promise of Noynoy when he was proclaimed as the 15th President of the Republic of the Philippines. And now, after several months as the CEO of this nation, he's facing big issues that the past administrations left and now exposed in his time.

I want to share my sympathy to Noynoy. I was one that bashed him during the elections and I do have regrets on my words and actions to him. Indeed, he was favored by many Filipinos because of the legacy of the Aquino family. We all know that our President took the blame to himself for the recent hostage crisis. That's a leader and a servant. Even though the officials involved were all playing the blaming game, he admitted that our police and crisis management team had failed. There were several casualties and our country was disgraced by one action of a man who's also a victim of the decaying judicial and political system of our country.

I agree with what PNoy said earlier during the interview with the three biggest networks. He said that "The crisis doesn't define the present administration". They will be defined by their accomplishments today and for the years to come. Two thumbs up for the transparency he's giving to the public. Better than GMA.

As a believer, the Bible tells us to respect the authority. Pray for them and love them. Even if some of their actions do not go our way. Remember God is sovereign and He knows the destiny of this nation. He will do what needs to be done in His perfect time.

So instead of saying things against the administration, we should speak life and encouragement to build them up. Pray that our leaders will have wisdom to change for the better. Are you the problem? Or are you a part of the solution? Think again.

Don’t let the Girl Choose You

A reBlog from dennissy.com

Here is the advice I got today from a father that packs a lot of meat. Every man devour on this:
YOU CHOOSE THE GIRL, DON’T LET THE GIRL CHOOSE YOU.
This is manhood stuff that you dont see in chick flicks where the girl usually picks the man. The man chooses. The man pursues. The man runs after the girl and not the other way around.
Here is a brotherly advice for women: “Sister – if your pursue the man – you go against the grain of biblical womanhood” Women were created to be pursued and not to be the pursuer. The moment you pursue your man and he bites – you got yourself a GIRLFRIEND.You have deprived the man of your dreams to be a MAN. You have taken out the adventure he needs to go through. You have emasculated him and at the same time shortchange yourself because you pursued the man.

LIFEJAM

LIFEJAM.

The latest service for young people and young professionals. Yesterday was the launching and I am grateful for the response of everyone. After all the planning and praying for this one, I congratulate KKB and YAM leaders and volunteers who gave their time and effort to make this possible. All the glory for His Name.

Our pastor preached the importance of knowing God and having a deep and intimate relationship with Him. With all these distractions in life and how the society is molding us to be in their culture. It's important to pursue and search for things that really matters and that is meeting and loving our Creator. A clip from How Great Is Our God Tour by Louie Giglio was shown to fully give us the idea that this massive, powerful, great, amazing and awesome God chose to love us and gave His life for us despite of all our sins. Astig talaga!

Then praise God for the Music Team. I know there were some hassle in preparing songs but it was worth it. We enjoyed singing with a new atmosphere in church and truly this is not your ordinary Sunday Service.

I am grateful for the team. God bless us. Continue to be grounded and humbled with the Word. God's grace will make this church grow. We do all these for His renown that every heart will know and see the love of God for us.

God is just starting something new for all of us and we invite you every Sunday at Jesus Is Lord - City of Sta. Rosa, 4PM. Bring your friends and have a great time with the Lord!

Greater things are yet to come.
Slow is fast. Less is More.
All for His fame and glory!

Thankful

Had a fun time with my family last weekend. It's been a while since we git together and a week from now, Papa will be home. Bonding time with my family to the max! Grateful for their lives.

There's nothing like it! Home.

This could not be possible without the Giver of life, and I thank God from the bottom of my heart.
Family, friends and most especially my God.

My best days are ahead of me.
Life is good!
